WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO COMMON SENSE?

I have updated my connection to the web, and it is just a little faster! Now I can write again. (or at least attempt to write)

Common sense, the innate ability a common man (or woman) has allowing them to make judgment calls. If I do this it will hurt, based on experience and knowledge. Having been tought that the stove is hot during your childhood you don't reach out and touch the stove without testing it first. If you purchase a cup of HOT coffee, you would expect that the contence of the cup would be hot. That would be common sense. To the average man that comment doesn't require interpretation from anyone. There are a group of individuals that seem to have checked their common sense at their bedpost in the morning and require interpretation of ordinary things by extraordinary people called lawyers. These people make a living of confusing ordinary human beings, and removing common sense from the equation. They take reams of paper and meaningless words to inform us that we should not drive through a red light! If the fathers of our nation had the help of today's caliber lawyers the declaration of independence would have been a novel and the publish date would have been around 2007 not 1776. If the judges whose job is to interpret the Constitution would start using common sense in their judgment like Solomon did in the bible a lot of the mess we see around us would not be here.

Does it make common sense for Congress to develop a Government Sponsored Health Care System for the common man that doesn't include the very people that are trying to cram their system down our throats.

Does it make common sense for our Government to spend money beyond its income, then ask us to tough it up and take a pay cut in the form of higher taxes, loss of jobs, and increased Health care costs, but these same elected officials have not once considered a pay cut for them selves, or a cut in the fringe benefits that they enjoy as our elected representatives.

Does this make sense?

At least that is what I think.

What is going to happen?

3 Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be to you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And has made us kings and priests to God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, said the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelations 1:3-8

A lot is said in these 6 verses. First it starts out with a blessing for those that read, hear, and keep the words of this prophecy. For the time is at hand. The time is near for this prophecy to come to pass. When? No one knows but it could come to pass in our lifetime! Paul thought that it would happen in his life time. The exact time is known only by God, it is up to be ready.

John then addresses the letter to the seven churches in Asia The known gatherings of believers in that day. Sends the churches God's grace or God's forgiving mercy. He also states that this forgiving mercy is extended from Jesus Christ "who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," Here he describes Jesus several times The first begotten of the dead, the first one to rise from the dead as all believers will do. John also states the fact that Jesus loves us and washed us from our sins in his own blood!

In verse 7 John states that "Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen." This is referring to Jesus and his second coming when all mankind will see him coming in the clouds as the ruler and judge of all the earth.

Verse 8 sums it all up telling us that Jesus is the Alpha and Omeaga, the beginning and end. The one that is and was and shall be. He is the Almighty One. God.

Looking into the past to understand the future

I have been looking at a few things on the web and in the news lately. Things that seem to be leading up to the end times. There have been many people throughout the ages that have made the statement "The end times are coming!" And believe it or not they have all been true! The end times are coming! There are one day closer today than they were yesterday. The fact is the end times are coming, a lot sooner than a majority of the worlds population think. It has nothing to do with global warming, a comet hit, or close encounters with aliens.
God is going to call an end to life as we know it! He is going to loose his angels and start His plan for mankind leading up to Judgment day. What am I talking about? I am going to start a little walk into the book of Revelation in the Bible. Looking at current events and what has been reveled in the bible.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass: and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Revelation 1:1-2 KJV

Where are the other 9?

Luke 17:11-19 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. and as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: and they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them. Go shew yourselves unto the priests. and it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. and one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back and with a loud voice glorified God. And fell down on lhis face at his feet ficing him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. and Jesus answering said. Wher there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God save this strange. And he said unto him.Arise , go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Are we like the other nine? How many times has God blessed us and we take it for granted, or worse give someone or something else the credit? The government gave me the tax credit! I just got a raise due to the hard work I have done at work.

I can do nothing, derserve only disgrace, not grace, and yet God so loved me (and you) that He gives us grace, love, blessings, life. In the trying times that are coming we need to keep our eyes on the source of all our needs and blessings, GOD

Prase God from who all blessings come!

At least that is what I think

our mission

Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace: and the God of love and peace shall be with you. II Corinthians 13:11 KJV

God wants us to live in peace and unity. We are to get along with our fellow man. not to be contentious, or argumentative. We should be respected and known for our honesty. This doesn't mean that we should be quite and let people shut us up when it comes to talking about our God and faith.
God calls us to witness for Him!

A lot of times we think our talking the talk is what is needed when what is needed is our walking the walk! Christians get in trouble and become ineffective when we think just our talking about God will lead people instantly to Jesus. Our actions speak louder than our words. Our example every day 24 - 7 is what Jesus wants. That will bring people to us so we can talk to them and tell them of Jesus!

Don't be afraid! Speak out! Don't quit! For I am with you and no one can harm you. Acts 19:9,10 LB

After people see the light of Jesus in our lives and are attracted to what God has done for us, then we can stand up and respectively talk boldly about Our AWESOME GOD. We are to plant the seed, that is all. God will bring in the harvest!

At least that is what I think
