lotto money!!!!
Starting in 1989 They have been giving money to the teachers retirement fund, not to the schools for our children's education. No wonder our property taxes are so high.
Question: how long do teachers have to work before they retire? Are they like our elected officials, one term!!! and then retirement for life!
Don't get me wrong we need good teachers and they deserve a good salary, but our children deserve a GREAT education and we were told that the schools would be running in money from the lottery!!! What happened?
Where has all the money gone??
Just like the 60's song, Where has all the money gone?
1) Property tax, the lion’s share of our property tax, that just was raised over 50% or more, goes for schools. Where is the money?
2) Gambling revenues: We were told that “millions” of dollars were going to go for schools. Nothing has changed!! Where is the money?
3) Lottery revenues: We were told that “millions” of dollars were going to go for schools. Nothing has changed!! Where is the money?
4) School book cost: It costs over $100 to send a 2nd grader to school!
a) School supplies: major shopping list by school, grade, and teacher! Additional cost for families!
b) To teach, “sharing” all purchased supplies dumped into a communal pile in class and then distributed to all!
i) Sharing: the act of giving to another something of yours out of kindness.
ii) Communal: “communism” the forced giving of all of your possessions into a mass pile for distribution to all. How does this teach sharing?
iii) Capitalism: entrepreneurial system: The ability for anyone and everyone to be able to excel to their desired level and gain the rewards of their accomplishments. If you have more then you can share it with your fellow man. The American Way. We have been doing this since 1776!
Dry eraser and highlighters for 2nd graders, I think not must be TEACHER SUPPLIES!Tuesday, August 19, 2008
VOTES
NONE OF THESE CATEGORIES MEAN A THING! We should be voting for the person that will DO THE JOB! I didn't say the one who wants the job, that raises a lot of questions in my mind. Who would want a job that is 24/7 in the public eye under the gun?
We need a group of individuals that view working for the public as a job, something that needs to be done, done correctly, and done concisely. Not someone that is looking for a popularity contest.
Don't let the candidates tell us what we want to hear, tell us the truth, tell us what your views are. Not what the other guy (or gal) has done or not done. Don't analise your opposition for us, we are smart enough to do that. Give us a list of things you are going to do for us. Don't put a spin on the issues, Give us solutions.
We need people in office that will work together with all elected officials to solve our problems, not toe the party line and ignore everything else.
At least that is what I think.

Why do we have to make a big production of every major event in the world. Report all the news and move on. Don't try the case on TV, let our court system do it without everyone being tainted and spun in the direction the editors & managers want us to go.
Now days News journalism isn't make sure of your sources and that the news is correct, It's can we be the first to tell someone, even if it isn't correct!!!
At least that is what I think.

LOYALTY?
How many employees go to work to get paid, or do they go to work to work so they can get paid?
WHAT COMPANY IS LOYAL TO THEIR EMPLOYEES?
How many companies do you know of that think that one of their main objectives is to make money so they can provide jobs for their employees? Or do they stop after the statement, make money.
Why do we have companies and the government backing out of agreements with their employees? The US government entered in to an agreement with the men and women of the armed forces stating that if you give us 20 years of honorable service or more and retire, we will give you and your spouse lifetime benefits to include health. All you had to do is come to the nearest military facility and go to their hospital to get help. But that is costing too much so why don’t we make it cheaper for the government and harder for the retiree. After all it is just an agreement and the government doesn’t have to keep up its side. It would cost too much. How much did the men and women put on the line when they joined and fought the government’s wars? Companies have followed the government and are eliminating retirement benefits left and right. What company still has a retirement fund strictly funded and controlled by them? We have been told that it is much better for you to have your money invested in a stock fund of some sort than to have it invested with the company, (the company could go bankrupt or illegally spend your money and you would loose it all)
WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT MAKING MONEY OR JOBS?
Would the rich get richer if no one had the money to purchase the product they want to sell to get richer.
WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO WORKING TOGETHER?

Questions?
Should people allow an elected Government to not represent them?
Should our elected Government really work or just put on shows to get elected?
Should all of our elected officials have term limits, or should we allow leaches to just live off of our hard earned money and do nothing but put on a show until they retire on our ticket?
What happened to government service? working for the people?
Government for the people, by the people, with the people. What is that??
or is it: Government by the few, for the few, funded by all!!
