Remembering

The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
Psalms 11:5-6
This is a fitting verse for today 9-11-08. In our remembering lets make sure that when we point fingers at the wicked people of this world we don't forget to look at ourselves, how have we demonstrated our righteousness today, or are we consumed with bitterness and hate toward someone or some thing.

The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
Proverbs 11:5
If we let hate or frustration guide our lives what separates us from them?

WORK?

It would be nice if I could publicly try for a new job, not have to show up and work at my old job, and if I don't get the new job, go back to work at my old one welcomed with open arms! I could do this as many times as I wanted, time after time, no repercussions!! That would be great. YOU CAN DO THIS! Just work for the elected government! At a time when Washington was setting records of non-accomplishment, several of our elected officials decided to change jobs and pursue a higher public job. So forgoing their public job and setting all things aside they set-out on their course towards higher glory, all in the name of public servitude. All of these public servants continue telling us that they were working for our good. Continuing to tell us to trust them with our future, they have a plan to improve our (their) state of life.

I think that the truth be known, if they all had stayed at work, with their nose to the grindstone, trying to find real solutions to the major public problems: energy, health services & care, border security, jobs, tax relief, the list is endless, we would have been better served!

HOW MUCH HAS YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS REALLY DONE FOR YOU THE PAST 4 YEARS. ARE YOU SATISFIED? IF NOT WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
VOTE RESPONSIBLY!!!

FILLING JARS

All of us have heard the story of the collage professor that brought in a glass jar to class. He filled the jar with large rocks and asked the class if the jar was full. “Yes” they replied. He thanstarted to put smaller rocks in with the large ones filling the jar to the top. When asked if the jar was full the class replied “yes”.
The professor then started to pour sand into the jar until it was full to the top. Was it full? The class replied “yes”!
He than poured water into the jar filling it to the top.
The point? There are a lot of things that try to fill up our lives. Small rocks, sand, water. If we don’t hold our family and friends close and make sure they have space inside our jar first, it will be filled with everything else.

At least that is what I think.

Who's looking up to you?

Keep in mind that our walk in life is not alone. No mater how alone you feel as you walk down life’s streets there are others that your life touches. People that look toward you as an example (good or bad). Even the worst criminal in our prison system has people that look at them as an example of how to live their life. How many young lives and old lives are you touching today? What are you showing the people that look up to you?

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago...
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.

We had absolutely no national debt...

We had the largest middle class in the world...

and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What happened?

Can you spell 'politicians!'

Take time to think about this. if you earned $50,000 a year it would take 20,000 years for you to earn 1 billion dollars!!! The American people have to wake up and make our government start thinking about what they are doing!! They can't just keep spending more and think that the American people will give them the money, the tree is dead there is no more money! Start being fiscally responsible!
