FOCUS

Keep your eye on the goal! Stay focused! We have all heard thees statements but do we do them? You can see that the dog in the picture is focused very intently on something. How can someone achieve their goal in life if they keep getting distracted by other things? One of the hardest things to do in life is to stay focused on the task at hand and not look aside and start day dreaming about something else. How many times have we found ourselves off in never never land when we should be behind the wheel of the car we are driving! That is staying focused on the task at hand! We need the focus of the dog in the picture. What is he focused on?

ENEMYS

If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat: and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee. Proverbs 25:21,22

By showing true compassion and love to your enemy it may not stop him from doing you harm but in the end an aggressor can't sustain aggression toward someone that doesn't fight back. They will lose face due to your actions. Also winning isn't everything, the promise of reward isn't given to the winner it is given to the one that follows the Lords will by showing compassion to their enemy. The Lords reward is far greater than winning ever will be!
God has never asked us to do something with out a promise attached to it. But don't fall into the trap of doing things just for the reward, do them because it is the Lords will, and then you will receive His reward.

At least that is what I think.

STOP

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Exodus 14:13

Get this computer It will save you time, it is the fasted thing on the market. For several decades we have been told to surround ourselves with time saving items, get this, get that. All of which will save us so much time we will have time to set back and relax. We all have these items in our houses, and we still don't have time to sit back and relax! Relaxing is a state of mind, your aren't relaxing if you are thinking about what you have to do next! I found myself getting irritated at the computer because it wasn't booting fast enough for my needs just now. I wanted to get this thought down right now!! We have instant messaging & text messages, there are people out there that probably don't use their mouth to talk because their only form of communication is text.

"Stand Still, and see my glory! We can see God's glory all around us. It is in nature, God's creation, but we can't see God's glory going 70 miles an hour down the road of life. We will be lucky to just see the speck of the butterfly left behind as it hits our windshield. Take time, no MAKE TIME to look around you and see God's Glory! We are surrounded by it if we make the time to stand still and look. If we look after the important small things in life God will take care of the big things!

Don't get so tied up with your life journey that you don't enjoy the ride!

Remember When?

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17

It's a good thing that newspaper, and TV journalists aren't doing a background check on anyone wanting to get into heaven. They can dig into a persons life and make mountains out of molehills! God on the other hand will just ask one question at heavens gate, "Are you trying to enter on your own good deeds and merit, or do you stand washed in the blood of JESUS CHRIST?" If we are forgiven by GOD, He has forgotten about all of the sin in our past. It is a non issue to Him. We are forgiven!
How many sins of other people have we forgiven but not forgotten! If you forgive someone it shouldn't matter what they have or have not done in the past! Live in today. Learn from God, set your priorities correctly, and I will see you in heaven!
At least that is what I think.

Wise men

A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool. Proverbs 17:10

Gods plan for us is simple. Man has clouded His plan up so much that it is hard to understand let alone follow.
Our own self interest drives everything else to the rear in our minds. We must constantly strive to do His will.
We have been told that knowledge is king, but without wisdom ,the ability to apply knowledge to our lives, knowledge is nothing. The adage of "can't find their way out of a wet paper bag" describes a person with nothing but knowledge! Like the passage today says, be wise, know how to apply knowledge to your life and the world around you.
A wise man will encourage criticism. It is a way to improve yourself.
A wise man learns from their mistakes.
A mistake made once should be a learning experience. Made twice you didn't learn!
How many mistakes haven't you learned from? Our education into wisdom never stops.

At least that is what I think.
